Celebrity hair stylist and make-up artist Florian Hurel says short hairstyle has made a comeback
Short hairstyles are back in trend. So this festive season, if you are still wondering how to look good, try experimenting with your hair. Celebrity hair stylist and make-up artist Florian Hurel speaks on short hair style and how it has made a comeback.
“Since years I have had many Indian girls with short hair. I feel a short hair style is not just a hairstyle; it’s a statement. Many people are opting for short and chic cuts because they’re not only stylish but also super practical,” he says.
Dixie D’Amelio fully embraced the shorter look after debuting a buzzed cut last September. Since then, the singer has shown off a number of edgy pixie styles, from slicked bangs to tousled volume. Meanwhile, Tia Mowry recently underwent a “bittersweet” pixie chop to mark a new era.
“Now it’s common to see models and ladies with short hair. Clients are also carrying short haircuts as well as asking for variations of it. Soft curtain bangs add a delicate frame to your face, lobs offer that perfect in-between length, and pixie cuts bring out the bold and carefree side. So, whether you’re into subtlety, versatility, or making a statement, there’s something for everyone,” he adds.
So which Bollywood celeb do you feel can carry a short hair style? “Some of them went short like Deepika Padukone carrying the bob look for about 2 years. Anyone with an oval-shaped face can carry a short haircut,” he adds.
