Portraying Diwali sequences on screen is a lot of fun: Parth Shah
Producer Parth Shah, who is co-producing shows like Suman Indori and Rabb Se Hai Dua, to name some, along with Prateek Sharma under their banner Studio LSD, is excited to celebrate Diwali with his family and feels that the festival is relatable to everyone, which makes portraying it on-screen more fun.
He said, “Diwali is all about family. Even if work is hectic, I make sure to manage and reach my family in Indore. It is a festival relatable to most people. Portraying Diwali sequences on screen is a lot of fun, and we get to include many emotions and drama that engage the masses.”
He agrees that it’s a double celebration for the audience, as they get to celebrate it once with their real families and then with their on-screen families. He said, “Indian audiences are deeply connected to the characters and relate to what these characters do on screen, from their costumes and jewelry to home décor. Through this, audiences try to celebrate and adopt similar ways of celebration.”
He also mentioned that since the government has banned crackers, showcasing such sequences can create more awareness. “Since TV shows reach the masses, we can easily create awareness regarding government regulations for bursting crackers and their harmful effects,” he said.
Parth pointed out that, along with festive tracks, introducing a twist takes the entertainment quotient up a notch. “Audiences are hooked to festive tracks because there is lot more happening compared to the regular storyline, which creates an opportunity for twists to amplify the drama and entertainment,” he ended.
